Wood Assembler

Experienced Wood Assembler | Trumbull, CT

7am – 3:30pm | Monday-Friday | $20-$23/hour

Lingo Staffing is hiring Experienced Wood Assemblers for a well-established packaging manufacturer in Trumbull, CT. This is a hands-on position for someone with real carpentry, construction, woodworking, or crate-building experience who can read blueprints/cut sheets, use power tools safely, and build quality products to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Build custom wooden crates, bases, skids, and crate caps using blueprints/cut sheets

• Use nail guns, staple guns, power drills, grinders, hammers, utility knives, heat sealers, and other tools

• Measure materials accurately using a tape measure, with accuracy up to 1/8 inch

• Read, interpret, and identify possible cut sheet or stenciling errors

• Apply foam to wood crates using adhesives and complete specification checks

• Safely use ladders when assembling crate tops/caps

• Assemble bases or skids while crouching or kneeling, including use of a 20 lb nail gun

• Log in and out of jobs using the production planning system/Ops Center

• Follow work instructions, production schedules, SOPs, PPE requirements, and safety procedures

Qualifications

• 2+ years of carpentry, woodworking, construction, crate-building, or similar hands-on assembly experience preferred

• Must be comfortable reading blueprints, cut sheets, measurements, and work instructions

• Strong experience with hand tools, power tools, and dimensional measuring tools

• Basic computer skills to log jobs in and out of the production system

• Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards

• Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, and working in a production environment

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
