Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd shift
DIRECT HIRE IMMEDIATE OPENINGS
Pay: $30-34 an hour
Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications
Multicraft maintenance Electrical and Mechanical experience a must
Electrical experience working wiht PLC and troubleshooting a plus
Job Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient production operations. This position requires strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and other industrial machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or maintenance certification preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls preferred.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and industrial safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying industrial conditions.
Preferred Skills:
- PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- VFDs and motor controls
- Welding and fabrication
- Preventive maintenance systems (CMMS)
- Robotics and automation experience
- Electrical troubleshooting up to 480V
Schedule:
Full-time, 2pm-11pm with flexibility to work overtime, weekends as needed.
